All Star Tower Defense evolution turns an exact base unit and its required ingredients into another exact form. The important words are “exact” and “current.” Similar character-inspired names can represent several rarities, while recipes and material sources can change. Community evolution references currently warn that their coverage is under revamp, so this hub uses them for discovery and requires the live evolution menu for every final recipe.
Use 6-Star Units and 7-Star Units to identify targets, then use Materials to plan the farm. Do not consume a unit or duplicate until the live recipe and resulting role are understood.
Evolution decision path
This process is slower than copying a recipe, but it protects rare units and prevents hours of farming the wrong material.
Choose an evolution that solves a problem
Start from the team failure. If Story Mode fails before expensive upgrades, an evolution with stronger maximum output may not solve the opener. If Infinite Mode reaches late waves but lacks placement-efficient damage, a high-rarity scaling form may be appropriate. If a boss escapes, compare focused damage, target rules, and ability timing.
Read the resulting unit’s current role before spending. Record placement type, attack area, placement cost, upgrade curve, range, SPA, abilities, and support interactions. Compare it with the Unit Stats baseline and the best owned alternative.
Accessibility belongs in the decision. A recipe that consumes your only working unit or several limited copies can weaken the account during the farm. Preserve a functional progression team until the target is ready.
Protect base units and duplicates
Lock the copy used in current teams. Mark other copies as recipe reserve, future target, or safe experience only after inspecting live recipes. A duplicate can be required directly or used in a chain leading to a higher rarity.
Take a screenshot or written record of the current recipe and confirmation preview. If the recipe changes later, the dated record explains why your reserve differs from a newer guide. Do not trust an inventory nickname when selecting the sacrificial form; match the entire displayed name and star rarity.
If the game supports several evolution branches, confirm the output before clicking. Do not assume the most expensive branch fits your mode or that an evolved unit retains the same attack type and cost curve.
Build a material plan
Mode drops
Record entrance, unlock, difficulty, first-clear versus repeat reward, run time, success rate, and the exact completion result.
Enemy material drops
Community references describe material farming where enemies can drop ingredients. Confirm the current activity and log several runs before estimating effort.
Shop or crafting
Read the live price, required currency, recipe, timer, and stock. A historical shop location does not prove a current sale.
Event ingredients
Check the event end time and replacement source. Avoid starting a recipe that cannot be finished with the remaining access.
The Materials guide includes a ledger format. Unknown drop rates stay blank. One lucky result proves a possible drop, not an average.
Six-star and seven-star discovery
Community unit indexes currently include many six-star and seven-star forms. Six-star examples include 4-Eye Sorcerer (Timer), Airren (Final), and Alien Boss. Seven-star examples include Airren (Doomsday), Ant King (Awakened), and Borul (Supa III). These names establish that the forms are documented, not that they are currently obtainable or best for every account.
Open 6-Star Units for recipe-verification steps and 7-Star Units for higher-rarity source checks. Similar names and anime aliases should not create separate plans unless the in-game forms are actually different.
Execute and verify
Before confirming, remove the unit from active teams if the interface requires it, unequip anything the prompt says will be affected, and verify the selected copy. Read the output preview one last time. Confirm only when the base form, ingredients, and target all match the written plan.
After evolution, lock the result and inspect its unit details. Do not assume old placements or upgrade order remain optimal. Run a controlled Story stage to record placement and early breakpoints, then an Infinite test if that is the intended role.
Update the material ledger with what was consumed and the exact date. If a field differs from a community recipe, preserve the live observation and mark the old recipe historical.
Common evolution mistakes
- Evolving the only reliable opener before a replacement is ready.
- Feeding duplicates that a later recipe requires.
- Farming a material from a closed event or wrong game.
- Copying exact quantities from an incomplete community index without checking the live menu.
- Comparing the evolved unit at another level, orb, leader, or support baseline.
- Assuming higher rarity automatically means better Story or Infinite value.
Use the Meta hub to confirm the role, the Items hub to protect resources, and the Updates hub whenever an announcement mentions recipes or unit balance.
