All Star Tower Defense Beginner Guide

Start the original All Star Tower Defense with a safe first-session route for tutorial, summoning, team roles, placement, upgrades, Story progress, and resources.

This All Star Tower Defense beginner guide follows the original game at Place ID 4996049426. The official description confirms the core loop: summon units, use their abilities to defend waves, upgrade troops during battle, play Story Mode or Infinity Tower, and check hourly Summon Gate changes. Your first goal is not a perfect rarity collection; it is one reliable team and a repeatable way to diagnose a loss.

Community tutorial descriptions historically show a first summon, ground and hill placement, and an opening Story mission. Follow the prompts you see now because interface positions can move.

Learn the lobby before spending

Locate the Summon Gate, Story entrance or selector, Infinite area, inventory, unit details, tasks, evolution, Orbs, codes or settings control, and update board. You do not need to memorize every mode. You need to know where the game currently shows prices, timers, recipes, and rewards.

Read the Summon Gate pool and timer. The official description says it changes hourly. Do not spend Gems merely because the tutorial introduced summoning; first identify whether the pool has an affordable unit for a missing role.

Open each owned unit and record full name, rarity, attack type, placement cost, and ability text. Lock the best working copy and any duplicate that might be needed for evolution.

Build the first team by role

Affordable opener

Must be placeable from starting Cash and useful before several expensive upgrades. This unit prevents the earliest loss.

Main damage

Covers grouped enemies along a long route section. Check area shape and ground or air targeting.

Economy or support

Add economy only after defense is stable. Buff, slow, or stop can replace it when the stage is short.

Boss or flex

Bring focused damage or the special target coverage that caused the previous loss.

Confirm the live team-size limit and fill remaining positions with complementary roles. Do not bring several costly maximum units with no opener.

Place and upgrade during battle

Watch the enemy route before placing. Bends and lane overlaps keep enemies in range longer. Ground and hill placements can cover different targets; verify what each owned unit can hit.

Buy the minimum opening defense, then upgrade to a useful breakpoint. A breakpoint changes the result: wider area, new target type, more range, an ability, or enough output to stop the next wave. Avoid spreading Cash across upgrades that do not solve the current danger.

Add an economy unit only when defense can survive until its payout. Stop economy spending before the final waves and convert Cash into combat. A loss with unspent Cash is usually sequencing, not a need for more summon currency.

Progress through Story Mode

Open the current map panel and choose the earliest available act. Record map, difficulty, enemy types, reward, and unlock. Use the first run to scout. If ordinary enemies leak early, repair the opener. If air or another target passes untouched, add coverage. If a boss escapes, improve focused damage or ability timing.

Change one variable and retry. Keep placements and unit conditions stable while testing an upgrade order. The Story Mode and Story Mode Team pages provide a deeper route.

Check the completion screen and distinguish first-clear from repeat rewards. Unlock progress is often more valuable than repeating an early act without a target.

Manage Gems, Stardust, units, and experience

Open tasks and claim only through the normal game interface. Record one-time and repeatable rewards separately. Use the Codes hub for live redemption checks, but treat codes as bonuses rather than a progression plan.

Before summoning, read Summoning and set a reserve. Wait when the current pool does not solve a roster gap. Before feeding units for experience, inspect evolution recipes and lock all working or limited copies. The Leveling guide explains the safe order.

Community pages describe passive currency through a Time Chamber, but exact timer, payout, VIP behavior, and claim process can change. Verify the current lobby control and your actual balance change.

Your first improvement loop

After each loss, record mode, stage, wave, enemy, Cash, unit upgrades, and cooldown state. Pick one cause. Improve placement, upgrade order, role coverage, unit level, orb, or evolution—not all at once. Retry the same stage.

This loop builds knowledge and keeps resources protected. A current high-rarity showcase can inspire a future target, but the best next action is the smallest verified change that advances your account.
